Buttermilk Pecan Pie
This delicious pie is chocked full of pecans
and a creamy buttermilk filling!

Yield: 8 slices per pie

• 1/2 cup butter
• 2 cups sugar
• 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
• 3 eggs

• 3 tablespoons flour

• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup buttermilk
• 1 9-inch unbaked pie shell
• 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add 1/2 cup sugar at a time. Blend in vanilla extract and eggs one at a time. Combine flour and salt; add small amount at a time. Add buttermilk.

Sprinkle pecans in bottom of pieshell. Pour custard mix over pecans and bake one hour and 30 minutes at 300 degrees F. The top browns as it cooks, best served at room temperature. (Shield crust with foil at end of cooking time if it is browning to quickly)
